Lasting Peace?

Lasting Peace?

“Lasting peace cannot be gained through endless war”. This is what the leftists who voted for President Obama are saying.

In one sense, the leftists are right. Lasting peace cannot be gained through unending war. Unending war is war that is not won. Unending war is war that is just allowed to die a slow death while taking with it the lives of our best and brightest.

Lasting peace CAN be gained through war when its goal is clear, when its strategy is wise, when its tactics are quick and agile, when its leaders’ commitment is strong, when those leaders are unapologetic in the use of maximum force, and when the people and its leaders are unrelenting in their resolve to gain victory.

The Problems of Lasting Peace

President Obama is not committed to victory. He never mentions the word “victory”. He is pulling America out of Iraq, making a mockery of the deaths of so many American soldiers. His goal is unclear, he overrides the strategies and tactics laid out by our military leaders, and he is afraid of offending the enemy, thus preempting any hope for use of maximum force. Worse yet, he demonstrates no resolve to be victorious, due, I believe, to the fact that he shares much of his world view with islamofascists.

I am a veteran of the Vietnam War. Over fifty-eight thousand Americans were killed in that war, not because we were an inferior force, but because we were not allowed to use that force. Despite the inept political leadership that cost those lives, the end of the story was positive. That war helped bring down communism in the Soviet Union.

The same will not hold true today if our leadership remains as it is.

Our leaders not only fear the use of force, they agree with much of what the enemy believes. They despise much of what America stands for. They are apologetic about our success and our strength. As a result they as doing everything they can to weaken our nation economically, socially, and militarily. Although President Obama talks a good game, I think we see him for who he really is.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have already cost thousands of American lives. In the memory of those men and women, I pray that instead of having to retreat, we finish those wars with dignity—in VICTORY.

No Lasting Peace Without Justice (Norway Mission to the U.N.)

We need leaders who will unleash the force of America on islamofascism. Once we do that we can end this quickly. We may not totally obliterate terrorism, but the few terrorists who will be left will think twice about attacking the greatest and strongest country in the world. THAT IS JUSTICE, AND THAT IS VICTORY!!!

About Doc

I am a Psychologist and a veteran of the Vietnam War. I work with abused children and with agencies which try to both prevent abuse and to empower those who have been abused. I feel strongly about child abuse and take every action I can to prevent it and to support the children I work with who have experienced it. I also feel strongly about politics and especially the course being taken by our nation. I believe that America is at a critical point in its development. How we answer the challenges from Islamic fascists and from our own internal enemies in the media, government, and academia will determine America’s future and the future of our children. I believe that if we don’t take the correct course now, America will go the way of Europe and that we will not reach the potential set out by our founding fathers. I believe that it is now getting serious. My gravitar is from "Darkman".
