ObamaCare: What Could Go Wrong??

Barbara Bellar (sourced on YouTube) looked at ObamaCare during its initial days. She wrote the following:

“We’re going to be gifted with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don’t, which purportedly covers at least 10 million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents…

…written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it, passed by a Congress that didn’t read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes … same sentence … with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes,…

…for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect by the government, which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare — all to be overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese, and financed by a country that’s broke.”

As Ms. Bellar asked, “What the blank could go wrong?”

(Note:  Apparently Donald Trump claims to have written this quote in 2013)

Well, what could go wrong DID go wrong. First, the wording was unconstitutional until Justice Roberts bailed out the White House by giving them acceptable (though still bogus) wording. A costly system was established at both the federal and state levels to “help” people get insurance that they could have gotten before had they tried. Then those “exchanges” didn’t work. Even after some improvement, many people couldn’t get insurance and if they could it cost more than they had paid before.

Now, the Supreme Court is deciding if the whole thing is illegal since state exchanges are getting subsidies that should only go to federal exchanges.

As if that wasn’t enough, as a result of Obamacare the government has infringed even further into the lives of Americans, controlling a huge amount of the American economy.

And that, unfortunately, is our socialist government at work.

About Doc

I am a Psychologist and a veteran of the Vietnam War. I work with abused children and with agencies which try to both prevent abuse and to empower those who have been abused. I feel strongly about child abuse and take every action I can to prevent it and to support the children I work with who have experienced it. I also feel strongly about politics and especially the course being taken by our nation. I believe that America is at a critical point in its development. How we answer the challenges from Islamic fascists and from our own internal enemies in the media, government, and academia will determine America’s future and the future of our children. I believe that if we don’t take the correct course now, America will go the way of Europe and that we will not reach the potential set out by our founding fathers. I believe that it is now getting serious. My gravitar is from "Darkman".
