The Leftist Dilemma: The Compost and the Dog

I read a hilarious story that took place recently in Minneapolis.  As background, it must be remembered that Minneapolis, and Minnesota as a whole, are so liberal that they really don’t have a true Democratic Party.  Instead, we have the Democratic – Farmer – Labor Party (DFL) that manifests a significant socialist odor.  The Republican Party in Minnesota was once known as the Independent Republican Party since it was a bit too far left to be comfortable with the Republican moniker.   The change of name hasn’t really changed the ideology.

With this backdrop, the story takes on an even funnier tone.

Minneapolis’ lovers of mother earth push composting.  For those who don’t know, composting is taking your old food and piling it up to rot, outside. Even animals tend to bury their garbage.  Not leftists in Minneapolis.  The goal of this hobby is to create mulch that is nutritious for plants.  If people grow pretty or edible plants, they spread the compost on them to make them healthy.  If people don’t grow plants, I don’t know what they do with their rotted food.

So, leftists have been crying about the need to compost for years, threatening that our civilization will die if we don’t.  They have fought for laws allowing anyone to compost, even in the highly dense housing areas mandated by their own kind.  Because they believed they were acting righteously, they didn’t want any rules governing where and how rotting food could be saved.

They also don’t like being accountable for how they manage their pets. When leftists’ lunacies find themselves at odds, hilarity ensues.

A dog was unfortunate enough to have a leftist owner and was therefore uncontrolled. The dog ate compost in a neighbor’s yard and became very sick.  Fortunately, the dog survived.

Ah, but the event provided an opportunity for the dog owner to cry for a new regulation.  Not for himself, but in typical leftist form, he aimed to regulate composters, even though those composters were also leftists.  He said that people should be required to fence in their compost.  He made no attempt to require people to control their pets.

Instead of being accountable for the fact that he let his dog run loose, he attempted to require that every composter in the city change to make his life easier.

Leftists hate being accountable.  They want others to change for them.  This is why leftists are so funny and yet so dangerous.

One way or another, leftists are always wrong.

About Doc

I am a Psychologist and a veteran of the Vietnam War. I work with abused children and with agencies which try to both prevent abuse and to empower those who have been abused. I feel strongly about child abuse and take every action I can to prevent it and to support the children I work with who have experienced it. I also feel strongly about politics and especially the course being taken by our nation. I believe that America is at a critical point in its development. How we answer the challenges from Islamic fascists and from our own internal enemies in the media, government, and academia will determine America’s future and the future of our children. I believe that if we don’t take the correct course now, America will go the way of Europe and that we will not reach the potential set out by our founding fathers. I believe that it is now getting serious. My gravitar is from "Darkman".
