Despite being inane, the words of our America-hating president are ominous. He said, “Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history. And lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the crusades and the inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery, Jim Crow, all too often was justified in the name of Christ.” (Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast, 2/5/15)
The very idea of minimizing the ruthless, demonic practices of Islamofascists is beyond what most of us can fathom. To use ancient Christian history to do so is even further beyond the pale.
The actions of ISIS are designed to enslave. The actions of Crusading Christians was to free. As stated by Dr. Bill Warner, “the crusades were completely REACTIONARY to a multi-century onslaught by jihadists. The purpose of the crusades was to free Christians while the purpose of jihad (Islam’s march at the time as well as now) has been to conquer and kill the kaffir (non-Muslims). There is no moral equivalence to the two.
“Radio host Mark Levin suggested that Obama visits Arlington National Cemetery and see the graves of all the Christians who gave up their lives for the freedom of others- here and around the world. Those young men, if you look at those headstones, the overwhelming majority … Mr. Obama, are Christians” (Blessing Buzz, 2/6/15)
Jonah Goldberg, (National Review Online) said, “I cannot defend everything done under the various Inquisitions — especially in Spain — because some of it was indefensible… But, Christianity, even in its most terrible days, even under the most corrupt popes, even during the most unjustifiable wars, was indisputably a force for the improvement of man…Its ideals were indisputably a great advance for humanity. Similarly, while some rationalized slavery and Jim Crow in the U.S. by invoking Christianity, it was ultimately the ideals of Christianity itself that dealt the fatal blow to those institutions.
“It’s…insipidly hypocritical (that) President Obama can’t bring himself to call the Islamic State ‘Islamic,’ but he’s happy to offer a sermon about Christianity’s alleged crimes at the beginning of the last millennium.
Allen West also shared his views about the Crusades and Obama’s latest pro-Muslim terrorist tirade. “First of all, Pope Urban II called for the Crusade in response to Muslim brigands and raiders who were attacking Christian pilgrims in the Holy Land. I find it rather odd that Obama would refer to something that is over 900 years old in order to make a statement of relativism. The sad truth is that no one is running around in Knights Templar white robes declaring “God wills it.” However, the same enemy that Pope Urban II saw as a threat exists to today and still declares, ‘Allahu Akhbar.’
“I found it interesting that Obama failed to mention the exchange between the Dey of Algiers and Thomas Jefferson concerning the attacks of American vessels and enslavement of Americans by Muslims, the infamous Barbary Pirates. The Dey of Algiers conveyed to Mr. Jefferson that they were only carrying out the dictates of their prophet towards infidels, kafirs.”
Of course, civilized people are still facing the same brutality at sea as carried out by the Barbary Pirates i.e., the taking of the Maesk.
Ralph Peters, (National Review, 1/6/15) noted that the real problem for Arabs began after the Crusaders were gone. “The Mongols were the ones who leveled Baghdad and shattered Arab rule in the Levant. The destruction was horrific. Millions died. The next invaders were fellow Muslims, the Seljuk and then Ottoman Turks (who would rule the Arabs for over half a millennium).
“But ‘historical’ memory is selective…In fact, the Muslim conquest of Christianity’s Middle East heartlands and the occupation of much of Europe into the 20th century did the actual damage to civilization. Two hundred years of Crusades? How about 14 centuries of jihad?”
As Peters notes, “To this day, Muslims occupy every city vital to the early formation of Christianity except Jerusalem. And the last traces of 2,000 years of Christian civilization are being exterminated as we watch.”

Obama’s recall of history is selective at best and perverse at its worst. Since his regrettable reelection, he has been much more obvious about his true religion. President Obama is not only anti-American (as correctly pointed out by Michelle Bachman in 2007) he is also anti-Christian. He is a dangerous proponent of a New Word Order into which he would not be accepted by the 0.01 percenters who are its masterminds.
Obama has more than met the criteria for impeachment. Now is the time!
