Obama’s Transformation of America

The Washington Free Beacon (2/4/15) has quoted President Obama who said  “I believe in a smarter kind of American leadership. We lead best when we combine military power with strong diplomacy; when we leverage our power with coalition building; when we don’t let our fears blind us to the opportunities that this new century presents. That’s exactly what we’re doing right now. And around the globe, it is making a difference.”

As outlined by WFB, “Syrian rebels are fighting a ruinous war against the regime of Bashar al-Assad, a cruel dictator who has used chemical weapons against his own people with no repercussions for crossing Obama’s vanishing ‘red line.’ The rebels have been left twisting in the wind by the administration.

“Since Obama withdrew U.S. troops from Iraq before trying to tell everyone it wasn’t his idea, the country has collapsed into chaos. The Islamic State, a viciously evil terrorist group Obama dismissed as a “JV team” only a year ago, captured Mosul and has terrorized the region with beheadings, executions and sharia law. Radical Islam is, quite simply, on the rise. Soon, Obama appears ready to repeat his mistakes … by leaving Afghanistan too early as well.

“In Ukraine, a sovereign people are trying to fight off Russian-aided separatists in a conflict that has claimed more than 5,000 lives, and the U.S. won’t send defensive weapons to aid Ukrainians as they attempt to deal a devastating blow to the aggressive Vladimir Putin.

“’It is making a difference,’ Obama said of his foreign policy approach. And he’s right–key regions around the world are on the brink of ruin as the U.S. continues to retreat under his watch.”

Allen West (2/4/15) also has commented on the failure of the president.  “Let us remember that ISIS is the rising deadly phoenix of a reconstituted al-Qaida in Iraq — which had been defeated. However, when you base national security on empty campaign promises and intransigent ideology combined with cowardly rhetoric, this is the end result.

“…A year ago, ISIS was referred to as a “jayvee” team by a president who barely attended 47 percent of his intelligence briefings — quite a different statistic from hitting the golf course. A year ago ISIS had barely 3,000 fighters, today it commands vast swaths of territory and has a global recruitment network.

(On February 3), we were once again reminded of the savage barbarism and brutality of ISIS when it burned the Jordanian pilot alive. And according to reports, this occurred back in January, meaning their hostage exchange negotiations for a female suicide bomber were never in good faith. Today at dawn, Jordan executed the female suicide bomber and all ISIS combatants they held.”

By the way, Obama has not made a decision on whether or not he approves of the Jordanian retribution.  Apparently, he will need to study it further.

I think it is very clear.  Obama wants America to be “right-sized”.  He “feels” that America is not exceptional and that America should not lead but just be one of the masses.  We might join a coalition to deal with terrorism but we won’t name it as such and we won’t name the enemy.  That would be “inappropriate” since Islam is no worse than that good old destructive Christianity.  I mean, all religions kill nonbelievers, right?  WRONG!!!

Sen. Obama in Kenya (from Drudge, 2006)

No.  For Obama the goal is to weaken America so that it cannot threaten his beloved Muslims or any other religion or nation for which he “feels” an affinity.

Obama said he was going to “fundamentally transform America”.  He has.  Are those of you who voted for him happy now?!

About Doc

I am a Psychologist and a veteran of the Vietnam War. I work with abused children and with agencies which try to both prevent abuse and to empower those who have been abused. I feel strongly about child abuse and take every action I can to prevent it and to support the children I work with who have experienced it. I also feel strongly about politics and especially the course being taken by our nation. I believe that America is at a critical point in its development. How we answer the challenges from Islamic fascists and from our own internal enemies in the media, government, and academia will determine America’s future and the future of our children. I believe that if we don’t take the correct course now, America will go the way of Europe and that we will not reach the potential set out by our founding fathers. I believe that it is now getting serious. My gravitar is from "Darkman".
