Citizens United and the Voice of All Americans

Oh, the whining!  Oh the teeth gnashing!  Oh, the groaning about how “unfair” it is!  All this is coming from “progressives” and all this about money.

Tom Steyer gives millions to leftist candidates and causes.  George Soros does the same.  The Democracy Alliance (made up of the top 0.1 percent) also gives millions for what its members consider to be “progressive” causes.  Unions take dues from members to donate to similar leftist candidates and causes. In fact, some of the leaders of those unions are wealthy enough (with money from union dues) that they are included as members of the Democracy Alliance.

All of the individuals and entities listed above have made their billions because they have all the advantages America has provided them.  All told, billions of dollars are being channeled from these leftist ingrates to causes aimed at destroying America.

But you would have thought the world had come to an end when the U.S. Supreme Court found that corporations are in some ways similar to “people”.  In its “Citizens United” decision, the Court ruled that corporations had a right to contribute to political causes.

Given that leftists have been contributing to their chosen causes for years, why are they so upset that corporations can now do the same?  After all, corporations are taxed like people and their tax rate is higher than that of most people.  Why wouldn’t taxpaying entities be allowed to contribute to the political process?  In a rational world, this wouldn’t even be a point of discussion.

Unfortunately, we no longer live in a rational world.  Leftists manufacture “truths” to fit their false “reality”.  What is “unquestionably right” for them to do is “unquestionably wrong” for anyone else.

Of course the real issue here is that the left fears that many corporations may contribute to the “wrong causes”, meaning conservative causes.

Corporations are taxed and have every right to contribute to the political process.  People like Soros, Styer, and leaders of the Democracy Alliance have the same right.  But those leftists do not have the right to prevent people with whom they may disagree from doing the same.

This issue can be solved in one of three ways.

  1. End all taxation of corporations, thereby taking them out of the “taxed person” category and thus eliminating their right to fund political causes.
  2. Eliminate the right of both leftists and conservative organizations to contribute to political causes.  This would include all PACs, the Democracy Alliance, unions, and corporations.
  3. Or, even better, the left can just stop whining.  After all, their contributions far overshadow whatever corporations have contributed anyway.

My choice fro the above is number 3. I know progressives want America to be “totally transformed” into just another second rate country.  They want to create a New World Order.  The 0.1 percent and their “useful idiots” had hoped to disarm Americans by now.  They have tried to disarm Americans in terms of intellect and information via the government run Common Core curriculum.  And, they have tried to disarm Americans in terms of guns.  Without intellect, information and guns, our government, foreign governments and a variety of terrorists would be better able to exert their control over the American people. They are making progress on bringing about their goal.  However, a few aware citizens are standing against being disarmed.  This has slowed the left and they are angry.  But like other terrorists, they have patience.

All Americans must be involved in the political process.  Unfortunately, it takes money to have voices heard.  Conservatives must be allowed to raise that money, just as leftists are doing.  Citizens United was a good decision.  It is time for the left to just shut up about it!

About Doc

I am a Psychologist and a veteran of the Vietnam War. I work with abused children and with agencies which try to both prevent abuse and to empower those who have been abused. I feel strongly about child abuse and take every action I can to prevent it and to support the children I work with who have experienced it. I also feel strongly about politics and especially the course being taken by our nation. I believe that America is at a critical point in its development. How we answer the challenges from Islamic fascists and from our own internal enemies in the media, government, and academia will determine America’s future and the future of our children. I believe that if we don’t take the correct course now, America will go the way of Europe and that we will not reach the potential set out by our founding fathers. I believe that it is now getting serious. My gravitar is from "Darkman".
