Complacency and the Death of a Nation

Jonathan Gruber has stated several times that the passage of Obamacare was dependent upon the “stupidity of the American people”.  I disagree.  I think that Obamacare was passed due to the complacency of the American people.

We all remember “The Course of a Nation” (anonymous).

America was developed out of bondage through rebellion.  America gained independence and became stable.  The nation experienced great abundance and served as not only an inspiration for others but also THE world’s leader.

Over the course of the past several years, Americans have become increasingly dependent and/or complacent.  Leaders have been elected by fewer and fewer voters.  Those who have voted are often those who have been conned by leaders to believe that they cannot survive without big government and its handouts.  These dependent Americans are joined by complacent, racially, socially and economically guilted Americans and by Americans who are “comfortably complacent” and who don’t want to upset the norm.

While dependent and complacent citizens are taught by big government that they cannot live without government, in actuality it is big government that cannot survive without them.  And worse, they fail to realize that by continuing on their course, they are destroying the greatest nation in the world.

Americans are moving swiftly toward bondage.  This time, however, it is bondage from within by “progressive” leaders on by sides of the aisle (i.e., socialists, communists, and fascists).  Unless Americans figure this out, our country will be “totally transformed” by anti-American “progressives” into just another failed second rate (or third world) failure.

About Doc

I am a Psychologist and a veteran of the Vietnam War. I work with abused children and with agencies which try to both prevent abuse and to empower those who have been abused. I feel strongly about child abuse and take every action I can to prevent it and to support the children I work with who have experienced it. I also feel strongly about politics and especially the course being taken by our nation. I believe that America is at a critical point in its development. How we answer the challenges from Islamic fascists and from our own internal enemies in the media, government, and academia will determine America’s future and the future of our children. I believe that if we don’t take the correct course now, America will go the way of Europe and that we will not reach the potential set out by our founding fathers. I believe that it is now getting serious. My gravitar is from "Darkman".
