Ike Boutwell is My newest American hero.
He trained pilots during the Vietnam war. He watched thousand be killed. He watched Jane Fonda sit on an anti-aircraft weapon in Hanoi–a weapon that probably killed hundreds of American. He watched Fonda deny that our troops were being mistreated. He watched her aide and abet the enemy. He watched as Fonda never received her just reward for her actions. He believes that Fonda is a traitor–despite her “apologies”.
I agree with Mr. Boutwell. I have written of her treasonous actions several times on my various blogs. I also agree with his decision to not screen “The Butler”, the recent propaganda movie by Oprah. His decision was based on the fact that Oprah decided to cast Hanoi Jane as Nancy Reagan. Despite the fact that a little snot nosed adolescent in the theater lobby “couldn’t understand the decision”, Mr. Boutwell is spot on with that decision. The snot-nose needs to get out of mommy’s basement and spend a few years in the military. Maybe then he will understand.
Choosing Hanoi Jane to play Nancy Reagan is not only a slap in the face of all conservatives, it is a punch across the jaw of all those who served and died in Vietnam. Oprah’s desire to create propaganda outweighs everything for her. This is just another example. The fact that the movie is a purely fictionalized and lionizing account of a real man makes this an even worse example of the depths to which this woman will succumb in order to promote her dangerous agenda.
Now The Butler is being heralded as the next Oscar winner. I for one will never watch this movie. I hope all my brothers and sisters who served in Vietnam will make the same choice.
