The Danger Must be Confronted

In my two previous commentaries I pointed out that “progressives” are fearful of dissent from anyone, but especially from attractive, smart, conservative women. Of course they do all they can to destroy that opposition. Their techniques involve character assassination, political lies, hacking opposing journalists and business people, and using the communication industry to feed them information about all Americans, for no national security reason. I guess that last approach can be considered a “preemptive strike” against anyone who might even consider disagreeing with the messiah.

The question still must be asked. Why are those on the far left so fearful of opposing viewpoints? I think I have discovered one significant reason.

“Progressives” have a sense that they hold all truths. They believe they have a mission to bring those truths and their outcomes to the world. This is such a huge mission that nothing can be allowed to block its completion. Nothing! Yet, they know, at some subconscious level, that they have weak arguments to support that mission. They know that they are avowing a secular religion they have named “progressivism”. They bow not to god but to the secular icons of “progressivism”. They know that they haven’t a leg to stand on. In fact, as they grudgingly look around the world, they are aware that all of their ideas have already failed, miserably.

Given the intellectual weakness of their argument, “progressives” are fearful that in an open debate, they will look, should I say, “faith-based”. Of course theirs is a secular faith but it is still based in faith in their “progressive” ideals. But they have already made the point that religious faith is meaningless. To attempt to argue the merits of a faith-based secular religion, would not go well. So they run away from honest discussion about their views. Instead of debating ideas in an honest way, they attack their conservative detractors, following the old saw that the best defense is a great offense.

This remarkable effort to destroy the “opposition” has been seen again and again, particularly with regard to conservative women. I mentioned in a previous post that the far left held back nothing in its attempt to defame and destroy Sarah Palin, and more recently, Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Both are attractive, articulate and strong conservative women. For “progressives” such women are exceedingly threatening and must be totally destroyed. In the cases of both Palin and Bachmann, they brought in millions of dollars from across the country to destroy them. They were assisted by the “elite media” and the education system from day one. In their attempt to destroy Bachmann, the far-left sought out and backed an unqualified but rich candidate, Jim Graves, to unseat her.

Graves knows nothing about politics. Far leftists across the country thought he had a chance to beat Bachmann and he almost did in 2010. Bachmann just announced that she will not run again. Graves then dropped out saying that his only goal was to get rid of Bachman (paraphrase). He had no interest in serving in the House. He was a hit man bought and paid for by big money leftists in order to rid Minnesota and Washington of Bachmann, both politically and personally. He failed on both counts. Bachmann left on her own accord. She is not destroyed. She may end up having a greater voice for America in private life than she has had in the House. Yet, in the mind of “progressives” they won. Delusion helps them keep that nasty old thing call reality at bay.

Big Government We Don't Need

It will behoove real Americans to continue to push back on the bullying, lying, and corruption being carried out by “progressives”. We cannot allow a president to continue to move us further and further toward Fascism. We cannot allow a president to take away our individual rights, one by one and two by two. Eventually we will have to stand strong or we will lose this great nation. I believe this is the time to take that stand, not through violence but through tough political and legal action!

Time to Peacefully Fight Back

About Doc

I am a Psychologist and a veteran of the Vietnam War. I work with abused children and with agencies which try to both prevent abuse and to empower those who have been abused. I feel strongly about child abuse and take every action I can to prevent it and to support the children I work with who have experienced it. I also feel strongly about politics and especially the course being taken by our nation. I believe that America is at a critical point in its development. How we answer the challenges from Islamic fascists and from our own internal enemies in the media, government, and academia will determine America’s future and the future of our children. I believe that if we don’t take the correct course now, America will go the way of Europe and that we will not reach the potential set out by our founding fathers. I believe that it is now getting serious. My gravitar is from "Darkman".
